(exercise)It is well known that exercise is beneficial to your health and can help give you energy. Exercising while you are undergoing treatment for cancer can help reduce fatigue , nausea and depression. Exercising can give you some motivation during a particularly difficult time in your life. With oral chemotherapy you can exercise whenever you wish because you don’t have an i.v. line to worry about. You should, however, consult your doctor prior to any exercise regimen so they can advise you on the most suitable forms of exercise for you based on your individual needs. Gentle aerobic exercise like walking or relaxation exercises like yoga or Pilates are a good starting point. Since you will not need a central line or pump device while taking oral chemotherapy, swimming is also a good form of exercise to try. It is less stressful on the joints than other forms of exercise, while it stretches and strengthens muscles.
